Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner (a song, poem, prayer)

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Going down this dusty road.

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Or so I’ve been told.

Saved by grace

I found myself flat on my face

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Going down this dusty road.

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Or so I’ve been told.

Times have been good and they’ve been bad

What fun and misery have we had!

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Going down this dusty road.

Lord, I ain’t nothin but a sinner

Or so I’ve been told.

But Lord, I’m yours,

A sinner ragamuffin, to hold.

(for some reason this poem would not let me sleep until I wrote it down and my laptop was the closest thing handy…)

Truer words were never written mate…… At our best we are sinners saved by Grace.. At out worst…Only God knows what we are capable of…

  2. Daniel Davisio says:

We talked yestaerday in the college groupe about how after you mess up you don’t have to crawl back to God. God runs to you! All you have to do is start the other way and he is there. This reminded me of that for some reason. Can’t wait till you get here!
